Mom's Morning Out Halloween Parade

Mom’s Morning Out took on a Halloween trick or treat theme Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd as infants were in costume, along with older children and even some moms.

The free event included a Halloween parade through the hospital and a chance to get connected with other moms and feel supported.

Mom's Morning Out is a weekly support group from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the medical center that gives moms of infants a time to join other moms to learn about changes in newborns, ask questions and meet other new moms in the community.

Weekly discussions include topics such as:

• Home safety,

• Tips on sleeping,

• Feeding,

• Preventing illness,

• Games to play with your baby,

• Baby development stages,

• Infant massage,

• The realness of having an infant.

Moms are also able to check their baby’s weight in between appointments.
