MOORHEAD – Police here received the final autopsy report of a slain North Dakota State University freshman on Wednesday and are planning a news conference for Monday, a news release said.
The final autopsy report for Thomas Bearson, whose body was found on an RV lot in south Moorhead in September, was recently completed by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office in St. Paul. An initial report said his death was the result of “homicidal violence.”
“Investigators have started reviewing the factual medical report and will continue to collaborate by meeting to discuss and interpret this new information,” the release from Lt. Tory Jacobson, a spokesman for Moorhead police, said.
Jacobson wrote that law enforcement’s intent was to provide the public with “a timely status update” through Monday’s 2:30 p.m. scheduled news conference.
Police have previously said they might not share the contents of Bearson’s final autopsy, which includes toxicology results.
