RANDALL-A 91-year-old Pierz woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Randall in Morrison County.

At about 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, Inez Myrtle Hayes was eastbound on County Road 14 in a 2015 Subaru Forester when the vehicle collided with a 2004 Nissan Maxima that was northbound on Highway 10. The Nissan was driven by 20-year-old Kaitlyn Ashley Hughes of Little Canada.

Hughes and her passenger, 18-year-old Alexes Skye Filley of Leavenworth, Kan., suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle's airbag was deployed, and both occupants were wearing seat belts and were taken to Lakewood Health System in Staples.

Hayes' airbag was deployed, and she was wearing a seat belt. She was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

Gold Cross Ambulance and the Morrison County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
