Officers arrested a 31-year-old Onamia woman after an extended chase through Mille Lacs and Morrison counties that ended near Pierz Saturday, June 1.
According to a news release from the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, a driver from Onamia led Mille Lacs Tribal Police officers on a chase near the western border of Mille Lacs County before crossing over to Morrison County, where Morrison County deputies took over pursuit of the vehicle. At roughly 7:27 p.m., one deputy used a trained technique on the vehicle and forced it to a stop at 225th Avenue west of Pierz.
The release indicated Morrison County deputies will forward reports to the Morrison County Attorney's Office for review of charges, including fleeing in a motor vehicle. The Minnesota State Patrol also assisted in the incident.
