LITTLE FALLS-The Morrison County Sheriff's Office Emergency Management reports it will participate in statewide tornado drills April 11 to observe Severe Weather Awareness Week scheduled April 8-12.
The tornado drill sirens will be activated at 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Outdoor warning sirens and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Weather Radios will sound in a simulated tornado warning. The tornado drills allow everyone in the community to practice their emergency plans for tornadoes, a news release stated. The first drill is intended for institutions and businesses. The night drill is intended for second-shift workers and families. There is no such thing as an "all-clear" siren.
