The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information about a dog that was shot in the Cushing area Tuesday, Dec. 24.

According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office Wednesday, a Cushing resident reported one of their dogs went missing Tuesday morning after having gone out to go to the bathroom. After searching for the German shepherd, the resident put up a notice on the Missing Dogs in MN website. A short time later, someone contacted the resident to report a dog that matched the missing dog’s description.

The dog was located 15 miles away in Todd County and was found shot with the collar removed and the body dumped on the side of the road.

Anyone who has information about the situation should call the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office at 320-632-9233.
