MOTLEY — A Brainerd man was among two drivers injured in a Motley crash Thursday, Nov. 26.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported 23-year-old Caleb Lloyd Grattan of Brainerd parked his Chevrolet Impala on the right shoulder of eastbound Highway 210 at 5:14 p.m. Thursday and was outside of the vehicle intending to work on the exhaust. At the same time, Jeffrey Scott Dorr-Slowey, 41, of Minneapolis drove his Chevrolet Suburban from westbound Highway 10 to eastbound Highway 210, rear-ending Grattan’s car and striking Grattan himself.

Both men suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Grattan was transported to Lakewood Health System in Staples, and Dorr-Slowey was transported to CHI St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls. Dorr-Slowey’s passenger, 27-year-old Harley Louis Warren of Ponsford, was not injured.

Drugs are suspected to be a factor, the state patrol reported.
