Motorcycle crash injures man

NIMROD -- A 37-year-old man was injured in a motorcycle crash at 9:39 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, on Wadena County Highway 18, just north of County Highway 12.

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office responded and located a motorcycle in the west ditch of County Highway 18. A man, identified as Michael Dozier, 37, of Menahga, was found next to the motorcycle and was complaining of injuries. Tri-County Ambulance arrived minutes later to assess Dozier. Dozier was then transported to a nearby landing zone to be transported to a Fargo, N.D., hospital by North Memorial Air Care, His current condition is unknown, the sheriff’s office reported.

The sheriff’s office investigated the scene and it was determined that Dozier was southbound on County Highway 18 when he lost control of his motorcycle and entered the ditch. Dozier was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
