The 12th Anniversary Motorcycle Ride for Homeless and Wounded Warriors is set for Aug. 27.
Registration for the ride is between 9:30-11 a.m. at the Brainerd VFW Post No. 1647, 309 S. Sixth St. The ride finishes at the Crosslake American Legion Post No. 500, 35112 County Highway 3.

This event is sponsored by Wounded Warriors-MN, a Minnesota charity dedicated to providing financial and emotional support as well as assistance, respect and honor to the most vulnerable veterans and their families.
"No veteran deserves to be homeless in America, no wounded warrior deserves anything but our utmost respect and support," the group's mission statement said.

Wounded Warriors-MN came into existence 12 years ago as a small group of veteran motorcyclists. The organization hosts charitable events throughout the year to raise funds. All of the proceeds go directly to homeless and wounded veterans. The organization is not affiliated with the Wounded Warrior Project.
