NISSWA — A 68-year-old man was injured Monday, June 15, when the motorcycle he was operating struck at deer on Mollie Lake Road in Nisswa.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at 1:16 p.m. The sheriff’s office reported David D. Schmalenberg of Merrifield was found injured by a rural mail carrier who called 911. Schmalenberg suffered injuries and was flown to St. Cloud Hospital by North Memorial Health Hospital Air Care. A hospital spokesperson said Wednesday, Schmalenberg has since been discharged.
