To say this was an unusual year for the Northland Arboretum is an understatement.
Like many nonprofits we’ve been riding the waves of ups and downs throughout these crazy times. When our Haunted Trail Committee came together this summer, we said this is an event the community needs so with a “build it and they will come” mentality, we moved forward with our plans and our community did not disappoint.
We had over 2,600 wonderful people join us despite the chilly weather. This is the biggest fundraiser for the Northland Arboretum and all proceeds go back into our mission in the form of grounds upkeep and conservation, facility updates and educational programming.
In addition to our attendees, we’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our awesome volunteers. This event couldn’t be made possible without you whether you had a scare section, helped with parking, security, ticket sales or other event coordination. Overall, we had over 2,118 hours donated toward the Haunted Trail. Your contribution of time allowed us to have some of the best results we’ve ever had.
Finally, we’d like to thank our event committee for strategically planning this event in a very unique year, specifically Ruthie Gmeinder and DeAnn Caddy for their unwavering support and guidance.
