Murder investigation underway in Winona

WINONA - Authorities have launched a homicide investigation after a 75-year-old woman was found dead in the living room of a Winona home Friday afternoon, according to WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.

WINONA - Authorities have launched a homicide investigation after a 75-year-old woman was found dead in the living room of a Winona home Friday afternoon, according to WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.

An 84-year-old man suffered a severe head injury and is in critical condition.

Someone called 911 around 3:30 p.m. to report a possible homicide at the home, on the 1500 block of West King Street.

Police say there is no threat to the public.
