WeARE Advocates for Reproductive Education raised more than $7,000 in a fundraiser at Madden's on Gull Lake last month.

The funds will support technology needs of The Clinic, the organization's reproductive health care facility scheduled to open in October 2017.

Scott Lykins and John Taylor Ward, both of Lakes Area Music Festival, had the crowd on its feet as they performed familiar songs from musicals-with a reproductive health twist, a news release stated.

The Clinic will offer services including education, birth control, and testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.

"WeARE believes that all people have a right to evidence-based, non-judgmental, confidential reproductive healthcare services," the release stated. "The Clinic will help fill the void for such services which are currently unavailable for many teens and young adults in our community."
