One of the two names of the drivers injured in a two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon on Wise Road north of Brainerd was released Friday.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office responded to the broadside crash at 12:17 p.m. where a passenger car was exiting The Church On The Wise Road when it pulled out in front of an SUV traveling east on Wise Road and the two vehicles met. The crash left the SUV on its side and the passenger car in the ditch.
The driver of the SUV was Jennifer Amundson, 32, Brainerd. She was treated by North Memorial Ambulance on scene and released. The driver of the passenger car, a 74-year-old Brainerd woman, was taken by ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, and then airlifted to an unknown hospital for serious injuries.
The name of the 74-year-old driver is not being released to allow time for family members to be notified. Information on the woman's current condition is not known at this time.
