New construction in Crow Wing County increases

For the fourth year in a row, the total value of new construction in Crow Wing County increased.

According to property assessment data released by Crow Wing County, total new construction increased from $92,856,200 in 2014 to $98,038,400 in 2015. This is an increase of 6 percent, or $5.18 million.

In comparison, new construction totaled $138 million in 2008, before the economic downturn. It dipped to a recent low in 2011, when the value was $55.6 million.
