A foundation in Little Falls was recently established in order to improve the educational experience of students in Little Falls Community Schools.
The Little Falls Education Foundation, a Turn Key Partner Fund of the Initiative Foundation, was recently established to enrich the educational experience of students through the establishment of resource partnerships with community members, alumni, families, businesses and organizations.
The goal is to enhance learning by bringing unique opportunities into the classroom that are beyond the regular curriculum. The Little Falls Education Foundation is a means for teachers to provide just that. Educators provide the leadership, innovation and creativity while the Little Falls Education Foundation provides the monetary resources.
The Advisory Board of the new Little Falls Education Foundation has partnered with the Initiative Foundation to manage the funds and set up application guidelines to allow educators from Little Falls Community Schools the opportunity to submit grant applications for classroom initiatives. Following a review by the grant committee and approval from Initiative Foundation Board of Trustees, funds are then made available to successful applicants to implement programming aimed at benefitting students of Little Falls Community Schools.
All funds donated to the Little Falls Education Foundation are tax-deductible and will go to support programs and initiatives that benefit the students of Little Falls Community Schools.
Board members of the Little Falls Education Foundation are: Jim Peters, Pam Schilling, Ruth Brutcher, Mike LeMieur, Brent Schulte, Gina Vetter, Debra Yliniemi-Ahlin, Carl Rydeen, Stephen Jones (ex-officio) and Kristi Ackley (Initiative Foundation).
