A new free medical disposal box is now available for the public at the Nisswa City Hall. The drop-off site will be open 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Unneeded over-the-counter medications, prescription and narcotic medications are accepted at the site.
The Nisswa disposal box is the fourth free medication disposal site available in Crow Wing County. These disposal sites, available since 2012, are intended to help prevent the abuse or misuse of old or unneeded medications.
Nisswa City Hall is located at 5442 City Hall St. in Nisswa. Contact Nisswa Police Chief Craig Taylor at 218-963-4444 for more information.
