BAXTER-Motorists will encounter night work and lane closures on Highway 210/Washington Street in Brainerd the week of Sept. 10.
Both directions of Highway 210/Washington Street will be reduced to a single lane east of the Mississippi River between East River Road/First Street and South Sixth Street. The closures will occur each overnight, on dry weather nights, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the week of Sept. 10.
The work will take up to four overnights to complete, and will allow crews to fill and cap out-of-service city sewer pipes beneath the roadway.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and drive with caution through the work zone, especially at nighttime when sight distances are lessened, a news release stated.
The work is part of the Business Highway 371/South Sixth Street reconstruction project to be complete by early October. To learn more about this project, visit www.mndot.gov/d3/brd .
