Nisswa Area Historical Society to host events at Pioneer Village

NISSWA - The Pioneer Village in Nisswa is open for fall tours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays in September.

It will close for the season after Sept. 27.

Following are events that will occur Saturday at the Pioneer Village during the Nisswa Fall Festival:

• Games for kids from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including a Bounce House, bean bag toss, candy wheel, football and baseball toss, musical chairs, face painting, a petting zoo, crafts and more.

• Rummage sale. Find good deals and support the historical society. Browse through two log cabins filled with a variety of items.

• Raffle ticket sales. This will be the last day to buy tickets. Winning tickets for six prizes will be drawn at 4 p.m. and announced soon after at the stage in the Pickle Factory parking lot.

The Nisswa Area Historical Society thanks all those who donate to tour the unique Pioneer Village. Donations make it possible for the society to continue sharing the area's history with the public.
