For almost 39 years, Northern Community Radio has been broadcasting the stories, music, nature, Green Cheese trivia and culture of northern Minnesota. It was the first rural public radio station of its kind and still has a mission of building community in northern Minnesota.
In celebration of Valentine's week, Northern Community Radio wants to "Spread the Love" and thank its members and listeners and potential members. The entire community is invited to the following "Spread the Love" receptions:
• Tuesday, Feb. 10, in Brainerd, (private residence, contact Northern Community Radio for details) 4-6 p.m.
• Wednesday, Feb. 11, in Ely, Brandenburg Gallery, 4-6 p.m.
• Thursday, Feb. 12, in Grand Rapids, KAXE studios, 260 NE 2nd St., 4-6 p.m.
