WADENA — A Minneapolis man was injured when the off-highway motorcycle he was operating crashed Sunday, July 19, in the Huntersville State Forest in Wadena County.
The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was called at 7:23 p.m. for the crash on a trail system northeast of Huntersville Forest Road and 360th Street. It was reported Jamie Johnson of Minneapolis crashed due to the bike hitting a sandy area on the trail and he lost control.
Johnson was transported by Tri-County Ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital of Park Rapids for injuries.
The sheriff’s office was assisted on scene by Menahga police and fire departments and Tri-County Ambulance.
