On Saturday, Oct. 31, officers from the Mille Lacs Band Tribal Police Department responded to a report of an attempted robbery at Grand Market, located at 16600 Ataage Drive in Onamia.
The suspect had fled before officers arrived. Once on the scene officers conducted interviews and reviewed surveillance footage of the incident. No one was injured and no money or property was stolen. No suspects were taken into custody. The investigation remains open.
"Our officers responded quickly to the scene and ensured that everyone was safe," Mille Lacs Band Tribal Police Chief Jared Rosati said in a release. "If anyone has information on this incident, we encourage them to come forward and share it with our department."
