WAHKON-A 26-year-old Onamia man was injured when the Plymouth Sundance he was driving crashed at 3:48 p.m. Sunday on the north side of Highway 27 in South Harbor Township in Mille Lacs County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported Thor M. Opager, 26, was driving east on Highway 27, near 85th Avenue just west of Wahkon, when he became distracted and swerved onto the shoulder, over-corrected and went off the roadway. Opager was transported to Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia for non-life-threatening injuries.
The state patrol detected alcohol in Opager's system.
The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
