Pikula's positive psychology course recently received the honor. It is among hundreds of higher education courses nationwide to receive the honor from the Minnesota Online Quality Initiative, an organization that uses peer review of online or blended courses for Quality Matters recognition.

Each of the recognized courses was formally reviewed in a rigorous peer review process and met Quality Matters standards. Each faculty member received a certificate and a QM seal to display on their course materials.

Sixteen CLC courses received Quality Matters recognition between 2011-16.
