The Brainerd Lakes Area Drug Education Coalition partnered with the Know the Truth Prevention Program to host a webinar, “A Night to Know the Truth.”
The webinar will be hosted from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 20 and people may register by going online at https://tinyurl.com/yyez9ytw .
The event will focus on sharing real-time information on local substance use trends and how students are responding to current events. Speakers include Sheila Klemmetseng and Andy Galles, coalition members; Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard; Troy Nash, Drug Task Force member; a school resource officer panel; personal stories of addiction and recovery; and Know the Truth Prevention professionals.
The schedule of speakers for the webinar is as follows:
6:30-7 p.m. — local resources available,
7-8 p.m. — presentations,
8-8:30 p.m. — live question and answer session.
Organizers with the Know the Truth also developed a youth survey to get a pulse from youths in Crow Wing County. Youths are encouraged to take the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CrowWingCountyYouth .
