SARTELL - During the Central Minnesota Council's School Night for Scouting effort, over 500 boys signed up to join Cub Scouts.
"We are pleased with the numbers but want to remind parents that its not too late to sign their son up for Scouting," said David Trehey, council executive.
Parents can use the website www.BEASCOUT.org to locate a pack near them. After they enter their zip code a map will show them where packs are located and they can click on a link to get more information and contact sheet allows them to get in touch with scout leaders, said Paul Ravenberg, senior district executive.
Many of the packs will begin meeting in the next week or two but new scouts are always welcome and leaders will work hard to get any scout caught up to the other boys in the unit.
New leaders are also welcome to join at this time.
