CASS LAKE-A 20-year-old Taylor Falls driver was injured after he attempted to make a U-turn and his vehicle was struck by a semitrailer at 11:51 p.m. Thursday on Highway 2, two miles east of Cass Lake in Cass County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported the Pontiac Sunfire was westbound on Highway 2 and was struck by a semitrailer traveling westbound on Highway 2.
The driver of the Pontiac, Branden M. Bent, 20, was transported to Sanford Health in Bemidji for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semitrailer, Dmitry Pekach, 32, Winnipeg, Manitoba, had no apparent injuries.
The Cass County's Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
