A Brainerd woman died Monday, Oct. 19, after a pickup truck hit her while she jogged in southeast Brainerd.
The Brainerd Police Department identified the woman as 65-year-old Paula Macarthur, who was jogging southbound just before 7 p.m. Monday and crossing Oak Street at the intersection of Southeast 28th Street when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle.
Officers attempted lifesaving measures at the scene but were unsuccessful.
The vehicle involved was a 1999 GMC Sierra truck driven by 18-year-old Hayden Cunningham of rural Brainerd. Cunningham was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the police department at 218-829-2805.
