Pierz woman hurt in Crosslake crash

CROSSLAKE--A 29-year-old Pierz woman suffered injury in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning, Jan. 12, at the intersection of Crow Wing County highways 3 and 36 in Crosslake.

CROSSLAKE-A 29-year-old Pierz woman suffered injury in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning, Jan. 12, at the intersection of Crow Wing County highways 3 and 36 in Crosslake.

The Crosslake Police Department reported Michelle Lease, 29, Pierz, was traveling west on County Highway 36, when she ran the stop sign at the intersection with County Highway 3, hitting a vehicle driven by Michael Flemmer, 51, Crosslake. Flemmer was traveling north on County Highway 3.

Police reported Lease had to be extricated from the vehicle and then was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Flemmer and two juvenile passengers in Lease's vehicle were uninjured.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, Breezy Point Police Department, the Minnesota State Patrol and Crosslake Fire Department assisted with the crash, which was reported at 8:49 a.m.
