Pine River-Backus High School has its first robotics team called the Backwoods Engineers.
The team is supported by Glynlyon in Nisswa.
The Backwoods Engineers have been working on their robot since this year's task was revealed in early January. The regional competition will be held Feb. 26-28 in Duluth.
The team is comprised of: Mike Shetka (coach/mentor), Amber Adkins, Steve Nelson (coach/mentor), Scott Berthold, Joe Najjar, Taylor Dowling, Dominic Wynn, Taya Reyes, Summer Merritt, Taylor Siltman, Dick Larson (coach/mentor).
