Pine River Market Square grand opening Friday

PINE RIVER-Pine River Market Square, a local growers and crafters market, is having its grand opening 2:30-5:30 p.m. Friday.

The market will feature locally grown produce, homemade baked goods and handmade crafts. The Market kickoff will include the annual plant sale to benefit the Pine River Garden Club and Pine River-Backus Community Education, along with entertainment provided by local musicians.

The market is located on the lot three blocks east of the stoplight on Barclay Avenue, and will continue to run every Friday until Sept. 29. Three indoor fall markets are planned on Oct. 14, Nov. 11 and Dec. 9 at the Warehouse in Pine River.
