A 23-year-old Pine River woman was in critical condition Sunday after she was ejected during a rollover crash on Highway 371 north of Fort Ripley.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported Brienna J. Rodriguez, 23, was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale after the vehicle she was driving rolled in the ditch near Meadow Lane and Highway 371. Rodriguez was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo northbound at 1 p.m. when she swerved left, over-corrected and ran off the road into the right ditch, the crash report states.

Rodriguez, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. A passenger, Derrick A. McGinnis, 24, Little Falls, had no apparent injury. McGinnis was wearing a seat belt, the state patrol reported. An air bag did not deploy.

A hospital representative reported Rodriguez was in critical condition Sunday afternoon.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office and North Memorial emergency personnel assisted at the scene.
