The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a fire call at 9:25 p.m. Sunday to a residence on the 300 block of Second Avenue North, Brainerd.
It was reported a plastic ash holder sitting by the front door tipped over and embers fell near the siding, causing the siding to begin to smoulder. Firefighters extinguished the fire and cleared at 9:41 p.m.
