The 2015 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Minnesota (SOMN) is back for the 2015 season. The plunge into Pelican Lake is planned at 1 p.m. March 7 at Breezy Point Resort, 9252 Breezy Point Drive, Breezy Point.
The funds raised benefit more than 8,000 SOMN athletes as they train, compete and transform themselves.
Day of the plunge check-in will be at the first floor of the Breezy Point Resort Convention Center near the front desk at the plunge site.
Plungers are encouraged to wear unique and outrageous costumes. Each participant must raise a minimum of $75 and bring the funds to the event.
Shoes and towel are required.
