ROYALTON -- Extensive property damage in Memorial Park in Royalton -- where a Porta Potty was lit on fire and picnic tables and park equipment were spray painted -- led to the arrests of a juvenile teen and a 21-year-old Royalton man.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 6:16 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, of multiple instances of damage to property at the park. The sheriff’s office reported damage also included vehicles spray painted; signs knocked down and spray painted; damage to a pool at a residence; a mailbox spray painted; and a new construction home entered and damaged.
Deputies investigated and located two suspects, who were taken into custody. The case was turned over to the Morrison County Attorney’s Office for review of felony damage to property charges.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Royalton Police Department and the Royalton Public Works Department.
