LAKE SHORE-Rep. John Poston offered congratulations to Rebekka Paskewitz of Browerville on being crowned the 2018 Princess Kay of the Milky Way as presented by the Midwest Dairy Association.
"I want to congratulate Rebekka on being crowned this year's Princess Kay of the Milky Way, and for her and her family's efforts to help promote the dairy industry in Minnesota," Poston said in a news release. "This is an outstanding honor for Rebekka and her family that has made the entire community proud. Job well done!"
Paskewitz, a 20-year-old college student from Browerville, was crowned Wednesday night at the Minnesota State Fair. She'll serve as the official goodwill ambassador for nearly 3,000 Minnesota dairy farm families-and have her likeness carved in butter on Thursday, the first day of the fair. Paskewitz, the daughter of Alan and Vicki Paskewitz, is studying agricultural education at South Dakota State University in Brookings.
