Randall crash injures woman

RANDALL--A 66-year-old woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:28 p.m. Friday on Highway 10, north of Randall at Morrison County Road 14.

RANDALL-A 66-year-old woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:28 p.m. Friday on Highway 10, north of Randall at Morrison County Road 14.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Ford Fusion, driven by Nicholas W. Esswein, 27, Coon Rapids, was traveling west on Highway 10, and a Lincoln MKX driven by Betty A. Spors, 66, Bellingham, was stopped at a stop sign at County Road 14, when the Lincoln pulled out and was struck in the left front by the Ford.

Spors was transported to CentraCare Health in St. Cloud with life-threatening injuries. Esswein was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and the airbag was deployed in the Ford. Alcohol was detected in Esswein's system, the state patrol reported.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
