A 17-year-old girl was injured Tuesday when the Pontiac Grand Prix she was driving crashed with a semitrailer on Highway 47, between the cities of Isle and Ogilvie in Mille Lacs County.
The Minnesota State Patrol was called at 7:58 a.m. to the crash on Highway 47 and 290th Avenue in Lewis Township. Both the semitrailer and the Pontiac passenger car were traveling north on Highway 47.
Danny J. Chambers, 54, Meadowlands, was driving the semitrailer and slowing to make a right turn at 290th Street, when it was rear-ended by the Pontiac driven by Summer L. St. George, 17, Mora, the state patrol reported. St. George was taken to the Princeton hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Chambers was not injured.
The state patrol reported the roads were icy and snow-covered.
