Rear-end crash injures 3 including child

PILLAGER-Two adults and a child were injured Friday in a two-vehicle, rear-end crash on Highway 210.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash occurred at 5:48 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of Highway 210 and West Sylvan Drive Southwest, in Sylvan Township.

A 2004 Dodge Neon, driven by Francine Marie Alt, 33, of Motley, was traveling east on Highway 210 and was struck from behind by a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Steven Wayne Tressler, 27, of Staples.

Alt and two passengers-Jason Jay Coventry, 35, of Motley, and Peyton Joel Coventry, 10, of Motley-suffered non-life-threatening injuries. All were transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. All were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, the state patrol reported.

Tressler and two passengers-Kirsti A. Gottfried, 26, of Staples, and Elijah James Tressler, 2, of Staples-were not injured in the crash. All three were reported wearing seat belts.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, the state patrol reported.

The Pillager Fire Department assisted at the scene.
