Two Brainerd men were injured in a rear-end crash east of Brainerd Monday, June 10.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported 21-year-old Benjamin Jeremiah Bernatsky was stopped in his 2007 Honda Civic, waiting for a vehicle in front of him to turn near the intersection of Highway 18 and 2 Mile Road about 6:15 p.m. Monday. As Bernatsky began to drive forward, a 2003 Honda Civic, driven by 26-year-old Adam Dale Sypnieski, rear-ended Bernatsky's Honda.

Both men suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Bernatsky was transferred to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, while Sypnieski was treated on scene.

Roads were dry, and both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office, Brainerd Police Department and Brainerd Fire Department assisted on scene.
