BACKUS — A Backus woman was injured in a rear-end crash Tuesday, Feb. 11, in Bullmoose Township in Cass County.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 9:42 a.m. where a Jeep Compass and a Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer were both traveling south on Highway 64. The Jeep had stopped to make a left turn onto County Highway 2, when it was rear ended by the pickup.
The driver of the Jeep, Shirley A. Plehal, 76, Backus, was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup, Peter J. Peterson, 80, and his passenger, Betty J. Vredenburg, 72, both of Backus, were not injured.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
