BEMIDJI - The final member of a trio who attempted to transport methamphetamine from the Twin Cities to Red Lake has been sentenced.
Delisha Rae Rodriguez, 25, of Minneapolis was sentenced last week in Beltrami County District Court to six years in prison for felony first degree drug sale. Rodriguez was arrested in May with Alex Dejesus-Zuniga and Joseph Jacob Thunder III when the Jeep they were in was stopped south of Bemidji on U.S. Highway 71. Inside the vehicle was 43 grams of methamphetamine.
Rodriguez will serve her sentence in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee. Dejesus-Zuniga, 19, of Richfield, Minn., was sentenced in October to 99 months in prison. Thunder, 47, of Redby was sentenced in August to 69 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud.
