Registration for two-person teams remains open for the Second Annual Fishing To End Hunger - Walleyedan Tournament set for Saturday at Bar Harbor on Gull Lake in Brainerd.

The walleye contest offers heaviest bag cash prizes of $10,000 for first place, $7,500 for second place, and $5,000 for third place.

In addition, fourth place wins ice augers, fifth place Vexilars, and 6th place wins shotguns. This week, SnoBear Winter Recreational Vehicles and The Fryin' Saucer Company announced they would sponsor the Fishing Rules Dinner on Friday for contest participants and donate a Fryin' Saucer Portable Outdoor Cooking System to the event's top 10 teams.

The Fishing To End Hunger - Walleyedan Tournament hopes to raise $75,000 to purchase ingredients to pack 300,000 meals at Kids Against Hunger-Brainerd Lakes Area. Dan Eigen (Walleyedan) helped establish the contest last year and will be on hand to greet participants this year.

The public is invited to the Fishing To End Hunger Silent Auction as part of the fundraiser on Friday at Bar Harbor.
