The kick-off event for the 30th anniversary of Relay for Life will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Jack's House bowling alley in Brainerd, 300 Highway 25 South.
The event is open to everyone. Bowling will be $1. However, lanes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis so it is suggested participants arrive early. Those attending can learn about starting a team for this year's Relay, get a sneak peak at this year's T-shirt and there will be prizes given away.
In addition to celebrating 30 years, the 2015 Relay for Life will be held in memory of special volunteer and Relay supporter Bonnie Cumberland, who passed away Feb. 3, 2014.
