A Brainerd Rental Property Owners and Managers meeting is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday in the training room at the Brainerd Police Department.
On the agenda is a review of Brainerd city ordinances with Scott Sadusky, city building/housing inspector.
There also will be a sign up for MN Multi Housing Association training to be held on March 11. Some of the topics that will be covered include qualifying the renter, screening criteria, denying an application, fair housing, avoiding discrimination claims, applications fees and applicants, securing personal information, mistakes to avoid, fundamentals of leases, fundamentals of security deposits, Section 8 Housing Voucher program, top 20 mistakes in filing eviction action, risk management/claims management, and protecting yourself and your investment.
The March 11 meeting will be from 1-4 p.m.
