Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library staff member Sharon Beaman catalogs books Tuesday, Feb. 11, after the building's roof partially collapsed on Jan 25. Snow and water came into the building causing damage to some of the 44,000 books at the Crosby library. Staff, with the help of a moving company, are cataloging and boxing all the books, which are being moved to a temporary location at 27 West Main in Crosby and two climate-controlled storage containers. I was raised on a farm in western Minnesota where I participated in 4-H, high school sports, and everything that farm kids do for fun after chores. Graduated from Ridgewater Community College with an AA degree and my first taste of newspapering. I worked a summer on the Ortonville Independent as a reporter and photographer.
