The Gordon Rosenmeier Center for State and Local Government will present the forum "What Is Clean Water Worth for Northern Minnesota Communities?" at 7 p.m. March 23 at the Chalberg Theater at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, a news release said.
The forum is co-sponsored by Leech Lake Area Watershed Foundation and Northern Water Alliance of Minnesota.
Presenters include Kent Montgomery, Central Lakes College who will report on the State of Northern Minnesota Waters. Dr. Pat Welle, Bemidji State University will discuss The Economic Reality of Clean and Healthy Waters. Paula Maccabee of WaterLegacy will speak on Myth and Policy: Are Northern Minnesota Waters Being Protected from Pollution?
The forum is free and open. Joining the panelists for questions after the presentations will be Levi Brown from the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and Tom Watson representing the Whitefish Area Property Owners Association.
