Rotarians from the Brainerd Noon Rotary Club and a crew from Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge Saturday removed brush and downed trees from the storms that hit in the past two years in the Rotary Riverside Park trails.
"The Rotary Riverside park is located in Brainerd just south of downtown along the river," John Forrest, a Rotarian and a driving force behind the Rotary Riverside Park project stated in a news release. "There is 1,400 feet of frontage on the Mississippi river. There are 2.1 miles of trails in the park. It is approximately 70 acres, has wetland, field and Little Buffalo Creek runs through it. This has been quite a project and we have many Rotarians here doing a whole lot as Rotarians always do."
