Minnesota State Sen. Carrie Ruud, R-Breezy Point, was named co-chair of the National Foundation for Women Legislators Policy Committee.
As co-chair of the policy committee, Ruud will be responsible for developing policy initiatives, identifying legislation to be shared with all members of the foundation, and approving subjects that will be presented at the foundation's annual conference.
"I am honored the NFWL selected me as co-chair for the 2019 Policy Committee," Ruud said in a news release. "As former chair of the NFWL Board, I have watched this foundation grow and am grateful for the opportunity to continue to contribute to its mission. I will lend my experience from the Minnesota Legislature to highlight important and relevant policy and will bring home new ideas for our state. I look forward to working with this talented group of women."
