Sen. Carrie Ruud, R-Breezy Point, has been appointed to serve on the Legislative Water Commission. The commission was created this year by the Legislature to review water policy reports and recommendations of the Environmental Quality Board, the Board of Water and Soil Resources, the Pollution Control Agency, the Department of Natural Resources and other water-related reports. The commission will consist of 12 members, six from the Senate and six from the House of Representatives.
"I'm honored to serve on the Legislative Water Commission." Ruud said. "I had a number of constituents who encouraged me to serve because they felt our district needed a voice on the commission. I can provide the voice for our district when it comes to these important water related issues. I'm looking forward to the opportunity."
